The Work Order Module will no longer be supported. It’s time to consider moving to Production Management or Operations Management to keep your business moving forward. Connect with our experts to learn more about your options.

Business Framework Compliant?

Business framework allows for primary and secondary grids in data entry, UDFs, sizable windows and other user functionality. Sage Production Management is framework compliant, Work Order is not.

Dynamic Inventory?

Dynamic inventory is real-time updating of inventory transactions and quantity on hand as materials are issued to a work ticket. Sage Production Management allows for dynamic inventory, Work Order does not.

Ease of Transaction Entry?

Sage Work Order requires transactions and register updates to post the 8 transaction types. Sage Production Management allows the release of a work ticket, labor transactions and dynamic inventory without a register posting to update the work ticket.

Sage Payroll & 1099 Compatibility Change

If you are currently processing Forms 1099 or W-2 from your Sage 100 software or running Sage 100 Payroll: PLEASE TAKE ACTION TODAY!

As of December 18, 2024, Sage has released its end-of-year IRD (Interim Release Download) and Sage Payroll version 2.25.

If you are NOT running the current version of Sage Payroll (2.25), you must install it before year-end W-2 processing.

Please note that Sage Payroll 2.25 is compatible with Sage versions: 2021.0 to 2021.2, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

If you will be processing Form 1099 in Sage 100, you MUST install the IRD 2024 release PRIOR to creating any Year-End Forms.

The IRD 2024 release is compatible with Sage versions: 2022.3 to 2022.6, 2023.0 to 2023.4, and 2024.0 to 2024.1

Microsoft Disables TLS 1.0/1.1

In September of 2023, Sage servers will stop accepting communications from Sage 100 product versions using Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.0 and 1.1. TLS is a security protocol that establishes encrypted connections over computer networks to help ensure that online communications and information cannot be intercepted. Regulatory standards have increasingly required the adoption of TLS 1.2 and subsequent deprecation of TLS 1.0 and 1.1 due to known security risks.

What does disabling TLS 1.0/1.1 mean for you? You will need to move to a supported version of Sage by September 2023.

Sage will monitor this, and you may switch to Read Only if you are not on a version of Sage that supports TLS 1.2.
